About the Program
Welcome to Monday Night CHAI—a space where 9th graders come together twice a month to explore who they are and who they want to become.
As a Pre-Confirmation student, you’ll dive into conversations that matter:
* Where do I belong?
* Why does Judaism still matter?
* How can I make a difference in a complicated world?
Together, we’ll use Jewish texts, values, and real-life experiences to examine identity, equity, justice, and our role in creating a better world.
Each session includes:
The first hour with BAFTY, our incredible teen community
Dinner and connection time
Meaningful, relevant conversations with inspiring educators
As part of the Pre-Confirmation experience, students are invited to participate in our unforgettable Civil Rights & Social Justice Trip to Memphis—a powerful, immersive journey into the heart of America’s history and our Jewish response to injustice. Only students that attend the Pre-confirmation can participate in the Memphis trip.
