About the Program
NEW THIS YEAR FOR 6TH AND 7TH
*6th Graders will get to choose between Sunday mornings from 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM or Monday from 4:45 – 7:30 PM.
Whether you choose Sunday or Monday, the curriuculum includes prayer study including a weekly tefilah, Hebrew and Judaic studies. Monday classes also include a light dinner. The class dates are not interchangeable.
*7th Graders have a new time, 4:45 – 7:30 PM
Our 7th grade program is designed to support students in a meaningful and excitying year of growth -spiritually, intellectually and socially. Each week students will particpate in weekly tefilah, as well as B’nai Mitzvah Readiness to prepare for the big day, or Modern Conversational Hebrew for students who have already become a Bar/Bat Mitzvah. The 2nd hour following dinner, sudents will explore Jewish values , traditions and current events lead by clergy.
*6th and 7th graders with older siblings may stay for study hall until their siblings are dismissed at 8:00 PM
8TH GRADE SCHEDULE
*8th grade will remain from 5:45 – 8:00 PM and include dinner between 2 classes. Discover. Connect. Explore.
Our 8th graders gather every Monday night for the BAFTY8 youth group in the first hour followed by a delicious dinner. The second hour offers dynamic programs that dive deep into Jewish identity, social connection, and self-discovery. As a highlight of the 8th grade, students will have an opportunity to travel to New York City for an immersive weekend adventure exploring Jewish immigration history and vibrant Jewish life in NYC.
