Rentals and Box Office Manager

Job Summary/Description:

Beth Am offers religious, educational, cultural, social and athletic programs that meet the dynamic needs of our community.

Temple Beth Am’s Rentals and Box Office Coordinator is responsible for managing the rental activity and box office administration.

Rentals and Box Office Manager will:

  • Coordinate and supervise partner programs and rentals following TBAM’s
    established policies and procedures.
  • Provide professional service to members, renters and customers.
  • Serve on the Catering committee and ensure that the catering panel is clearly
    communicated, evaluated and renewed every year
  • In collaboration with the Marketing Department, assist in creating a brochure
    highlighting the campus rental offerings.
  • Guide campus tours to prospective renters and event planners.
  • Represent Temple Beth Am at business-focused networking events.
  • Find appropriate opportunities to provide information to a wide audience about
    rentals at TBAM.
  • Balance TBAM needs with revenue generation, evaluating rentals for resource
    use and TBAM capacity and using TBAM’s central calendar as a resource.
  • Create events in our ticketing system (currently Audience View/Ovation Tix) in a
    timely manner.
  • Liaise with Audience View to problem solve and ensure best practices.
  • Track and report ticket sales to internal and external parties.
  • Coordinate on-sales with Marketing and Programming and communicate
    on-sales to TBAM staff.
  • Answer typical box office questions by phone, email and in person.
  • Provide professional customer service to patrons.
  • Run box office settlement reports.
  • Be present at ticketed events when needed.

Qualifications Requirements:

  • Prior Experience: Have prior experience in customer service and in box office or event management. Must have at least a basic understanding of box office principles. Marketing experience or data collection is a plus.
  • Technical Knowledge: The Rentals and Box Office Manager must possess full command of the Microsoft office programs – Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. In addition, they must be able and willing to learn any programs used by TBAM to make the office run smoothly- i.e. Google Suite, VeraCross, etc.
  • Problem Solving Skills: TBAM’s Rentals and Box Office Manager must possess problem-solving skills and focus on critical thinking. They are required to be an issue solver and a decision-maker on your feet.
  • Time Management Skills: TBAM’s Rentals and Box Office Manager needs to have excellent time management and prioritizing skills and be able to work effectively under deadlines.
  • Teamwork – Place goals of TBAM foremost when interacting with others at all levels. Build an environment that fosters teamwork and enhanced task accomplishment through positive and supportive cooperation.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, & the ability to adjust focus. The requirements of this job include extensive use of the computer and telephone.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is rarely exposed to the risk of electrical shock. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
