Sisterhood: Dear Sisters & Friends
Welcome to the kickoff month of a new Sisterhood year! This year is all about connection, and I hope every woman at Temple Beth Am feels she belongs.
We begin on November 3 with our opening event, Fall in Love with Sisterhood: An evening of connection, laughter and sisterhood. The event is complimentary for all sisterhood members. Thank you to Judy Cowan, Susan Lampen, Staci Solomon and the entire committee for planning what is sure to be a wonderful evening. Please bring a friend!
We have many of our favorite events from previous years to look forward to. Our Book Club, chaired again by Lori Fabry and Angela Durand, will have its next meeting on January 7. Also in January, Sisterhood will host its 2nd Multigenerational Tea Time event on Sunday the 31st. It is already shaping up to be even bigger and more exciting than last year. On February 18, Ilien Hechtman and Linda Landy are chairing our 4th Annual Queen of the Game Night, with mah-jongg, Rummikub, canasta, dinner and a shopping extravaganza, which has become a night not to be missed. So save the dates in your calendar.
New this year, look forward to a once a month, Sunday Mahjongg morning. Watch your email for dates. Beginning in January we will also offer monthly Tuesday night programs, including discussions on resilience, a discussion surrounding Dara Horn’s latest book “The Final Solution to the Jewish Question – A Love Story for the Living”, and an evening of art. Sisterhood members are also busy planning a a few events where we will head beyond our campus for a private art tour and participation with community groups that have strong ties to Israel and do important work in South Florida.
Do you have an idea for a program? Would you like to help chair it? I would love to hear from you at [email protected].
I can’t wait to see you in the coming months!
Warmly,
Beth Lang
Sisterhood President
