About Sara Liss:

Sara Liss is a Miami-based food and travel writer. Well traveled and trilingual in English, Hebrew, and Farsi, Liss started her career in journalism in the Middle East, where she was a reporter for the Associated Press’s Jerusalem bureau and Time Out Istanbul. She moved to South Florida in 2003 and has contributed to a wide range of publications including Condé Nast Traveler, The Miami Herald, Fodor’s Travel, Michelin Guide and MIAMI Modern Luxury. Her first cookbook, Miami Cooks, featuring recipes from the city’s best restaurants, was released in the fall of 2020. She is the co-founder of Saffron Supper Club, a Middle-Eastern dining experience and organizes community events in her town of Surfside with her company Friday Beach.
