Bring unread or gently read books to one of the donation bins located just outside the TBAM administrative offices. This year-round collection distributes your donations to multiple local organizations serving multiple age groups and reading populations.

● Homestead Women’s Correctional Facility Library
● Miami Jewish Home & Hospital for the Aged at Douglas Gardens
● One More Child
Based on our Jewish tradition of caring for our own, the Caring Committee promotes a culture of love and compassion by providing support, assistance and solace to congregants and their families as needed.

Make a positive difference in the lives of at-risk and former foster-care youth by donating and delivering a family-style dinner for 15 residents on the third Tuesday of the month. Service opportunities for Casa Valentina are coordinated in conjunction with the Sisterhood at Temple Beth Am and the National Council of Jewish Women/Kendall Section.
Gather petitions, host a fundraiser, get the word out—the fight for reproductive rights and health care is happening now! Join your fellow congregants in this statewide effort to protect the freedom of Floridians to make their own, personal, health-care decisions without the interference of politicians.
We’re making weekly runs to our local (and generous) supermarkets to pick-up and bring donated groceries to community pantries, fridges and local organizations. Help eliminate hunger, provide your little ones with an opportunity to learn by example and make real change in an hour or less.
Interested in growing vegetables, nurturing fruit trees and learning about native butterflies? Learn how you can take part in TBAM’s community and school garden with monthly, hands-on, family friendly programming and regular volunteer opportunities. Check the calendar for upcoming events here.

Crafting and creative enthusiasts gather the first and third Tuesday of every month at TBAM to kibbitz, nosh and make comforting pieces for the clergy to give to those in need of TLC.
Schedule: First and third Tuesday of each month, 10 AM – 12 PM
Location: Meeting Room 3 (2nd floor), TBAM Administrative Offices
PATCHES is a nursing center that serves children of disadvantaged families by providing nursing care and therapies, education and nutrition 5 days a week for children birth to 21 years old. You can help by volunteering, fundraising and earning community-service hours with the PATCHES Ambassador Program for teens.

Prepare a home-cooked meal with your friends and fellow congregants for out-of-town families with children receiving treatment at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Contact Judi Gampel ([email protected]) for more information.
Support the future success of abused, abandoned and neglected children in our community by ensuring they have a voice through a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem and receive basic-needs, dignity items and meaningful experiences so they may dream beyond their circumstances with Voices for Children.
