PATIO held its Annual Book Fair at Temple Beth Am Day School October 22–24, 2013. Special thanks to all of the teachers and parents who helped make this year's event such a big success.    Thank you to Officer Oliva and the Village of Pinecrest Police Department for demonstrating their all-electric "Green Machine" for the Temple Beth Am Day School Pre-Nursery School classes.

On July 26, 2013, Temple Beth Am Day School held its End-of-Camp Show, featuring students from Pre-Nursery through Kindergarten. Special thanks to Alyssa Allen for getting the kids ready for the show!    Temple Beth Am Day School is pleased to offer extended day Spanish Language Instruction during the academic year. On May 10, 2013, the Fifth Grade presented "Immigration Day," a tribute to how our Jewish ancestors immigrated to America. The students also presented a musical program under the direction of  Music Teacher Jackie Berney.    Nursery classes at Temple Beth Am Day School hosted Grandparents and Special Friends' on March 8, 2013 for a morning of classroom projects and sing-a-longs with Music Teacher Patti Sacks.

On March 1, 2013, Pre-Nursery classes at Temple Beth Am Day School hosted Grandparents and Special Friends' for a morning of classroom projects and sing-a-longs with Music Teacher Patti Sacks.    On February 6, 2013, Temple Beth Am Day School hosted a Grandparents' and Special Friends' Day for the Elementary School. Special thanks to our 1st Graders for their beautiful voices, and to Elementary School Music Teacher Jackie Berney.

Students from Debbie Roman's Second Grade learn to read Hebrew and chant prayers from teacher Denise Bergman. The students were greeted in Hebrew, distributed books unassisted and organized name labels at their seat.
   Our Second Graders presented a Thanksgiving Story musical play based on the book "Molly's Pilgrim" by Barbara Cohen on November 20, 2012. Musical direction by Jackie Berney.

On September 30, 2012, Temple Beth Am hosted "My Big Fat Messy Sukkot Party," including a Sukkot service for the kids, with Rabbi Rachel Greengrass and Musical Artist-in-Residence Alan Goodis.    On July 27, 2012, Temple Beth Am Day School held its End-of-Camp Show, featuring students from Pre-Nursery through 1st Grade. Special thanks to our music teachers Jackie Berney and Leah Saunders for getting the kids ready for the show!

  
  
On May 11, 2012, the Fifth Grade presented "Immigration Day," a tribute to how our Jewish ancestors immigrated to America.    As part of "Immigration Day" on May 11, 2012, the Fifth Graders performed a "Celebration of Jewish Life in America."

  
  
4th grade students presented a tribute to Israel Independence Day — Yom Ha'atzmaut — under the direction of Jackie Berney, Elementary School Music Teacher.    3rd, 4th and 5th graders participated in a special presentation for "Yom Hazikaron," in honor of Israel's fallen heroes, on April 25, 2012. Program prepared by Morah Drora Davis.

  
  
On April 20, 2012, the Kindergarten Class of the Temple Beth Am Day School helped Jackie Berney lead the "How 'bout Shabbat: A Family Experience" service, designed and created for children age 8 and younger and their families.    On March 8, 2012, the students of Temple Beth Am Day School received a special treat in honor of Purim, when some of their teachers performed their own "Purim Shpiel," under the musical direction of Jackie Berney.

On March 2, 2012, our Third Grade Students presented a play: "The Kiddush Cup Who Hated Wine," story by Byrd Salop, adapted by Alyssa Allen. Special thanks to Third Grade teachers Alyssa Allen, Sherri Allen, Wendy Baumgard, and to Joy Schandler, Director of Jewish Learning.   On February 9, 2012, Temple Beth Am Day School hosted a Grandparents' and Special Friends' Day for the Elementary School. Special thanks to our 5th Graders for their beautiful voices, and to Music Teacher Jackie Berney.

On December 16, 2011, Second Grade students presented "A Chanukah Musical," under the direction of Elementary School Music Teacher Jackie Berney.

PATIO's Annual Book Fair

PATIO held its annual Book Fair November 30–December 1, 2011.


1st Grade Thanksgiving

On November 23, 2011, our First Grade students presented "A Thanksgiving Story."


Mrs. Segelbaum's 2nd Grade

In preparation for their "Publishing Party" on December 2, 2011, Mrs. Segelbaum's Second Grade class explained the writing process and the power of reading.


'Bike Your Child to School' Day 2011

On October 5, 2011, Day School students participated in International Walk/Bike Your Child to School Day.


2nd Graders "Tour" Israel

In celebration of Yom haAtzmaut (Israel Independence Day), 2nd graders took their parents on "a tour of Israel," with specially created exhibits where parents asked questions about the cities or places.


Students Present "Song of the Sea"

Elementary School students performed a special play, "Song of the Sea," based on the Torah portion, during the Passover service on April 25, 2011.

The Exodus Experience

Day School Elementary School students in Kindergarten through Fifth Grade enjoyed a special field trip on March 28th. "The Exodus Experience" included a visit to a model matzah bakery where they learned how to make kosher matzah, and to the Michael-Ann Russell JCC in North Miami Beach.


Early Childhood Passover Musical

Early Childhood students were treated to a Passover musical production on April 13th, with the participation of Beth Am's clergy and some of our EC teachers, under the direction of Early Childhood Music Teacher Patti Sacks.


Ambulances for Israel

On April 1st, Temple Beth Am Day School participated in the dedication of three Magen David Adom lifesaving ambulances, presented to the People of Israel by The Fairholme Foundation.


Purim Carnival Celebration

Temple Beth Am celebrated Purim with an Afternoon Purim Carnival on March 21, 2011.


Beth Am Singers

Beth Am Singers... A Whole New Sound! Beginning in the 2nd grade, all students in our Day School and Religious School are invited to join Cantor Rachelle Nelson and Jackie Berney in our Children's Performing Choir.  


Weekly Havdalah Service

Rabbi Rachel Greengrass leads Day School students as they celebrate "Havdalah" every Monday morning.
