A Special Opportunity to Honor Holocaust Survivors & Victims

We would like to introduce to you a very meaningful project with an opportunity to honor your relatives that were impacted by the Holocaust.

As you know, our Holocaust Plaza has recently undergone improvements enhancing its beauty and reverence as a memorial space. We are honored to introduce the Stumbling Stones Project—inspired by a powerful initiative in Europe, the Stumbling Stones will pay tribute to victims and survivors by placing engraved stones along the curved Jerusalem Stone wall surrounding the plaza’s memorial.

This initiative will transform the plaza into a deeply personal and dedicated space for our congregation. The Stumbling Stones will be engraved with the names of our family members, friends, and loved ones who perished or survived during the Shoah, creating a lasting tribute to their lives, struggles, and ultimate sacrifices.

The memorial sculpture at the center of this plaza is composed by the letters of the Hebrew alphabet. The artist, Zammy Migdal, wanted to give anyone who stood in front of it, the opportunity to find the Hebrew name of those who they wished to honor. This project will expand this concept into a very personal memorial each brass stone will bear the name of a family member, victim, or survivor, accompanied by a meaningful inscription.

This personal touch will deepen our connection to history and ensure that the stories of those who suffered during this dark chapter are shared with future generations. It is a step that honors the memories of our brothers and sisters who were lost and celebrates the resilience of those who survived.
