ARR Presents: Finding a Skeleton in Grandma’s Closet

Join us for an engaging conversation!

Discussion group gathering at Temple Beth Am’s Adult Reading Room, administered by Sunday Salon Library Programs along with the Jewish Genealogical Society of Greater Miami.

Grandma’s possessions inherited by her offsprings reveal a disturbing relationship that these grandparents shared with the enemy. Come join us for this powerful, award-winning Israeli documentary, then we will meet again the following week to discuss, deliberate, and talk about this amazing story.

  1. What is the legacy of objects we inherit from our ancestors?
  2. How do material possessions (including correspondence and photographs) modify or confirm our feelings about them? Do they bring back memories that have been forgotten?
  3. Do the objects tell you something about your ancestors that you didn’t know.
  4. Can the objects actually reveal anything of the historical past?

RSVP to [email protected] required by June 17 to secure your seat at the library (space limited).
