Sharaka – Shaping a New Middle East

A panel conversation with young leaders from Israel and the Arab Gulf.

Made possible by the Israeli Consulate of Miami.

Sharaka (‘partnership’ in Arabic), was founded by young leaders from Israel and the Arab Gulf, on the basis of the Abraham Accords, the ground-breaking peace agreements reached in 2020 between the UAE and Israel, and later Bahrain, Morocco and Sudan. Sharaka’s mission is to turn the vision of peace into a reality through “people-to-people” engagement. These Accords have fundamentally and positively transformed the Middle East, and offer a unique opportunity that cannot be missed.

Sharaka aims to build and strengthen the bonds between Israelis and the citizens of the Abraham Accords countries, is working to expand the peace camp to additional countries, including by engaging with American and European Muslims. By creating such Arab and Muslim “ambassadors for peace”, we are able to portray a fair and positive image of Israel and the Jewish people to audiences in the United States who are normally critical and even hostile to hearing such messages.

A non-governmental, non-profit and apolitical project with communities in Israel, Bahrain, Morocco, and Pakistan, and members of Arab and Muslim descent around the US and Europe, Sharaka is changing the conversation about Israel through promoting the Abraham Accords.
