High Holy Day Food Drive for the JCS Kosher Food Bank
During the High Holy Days, when we focus on tefila (prayer), teshuva (repentance), and tzedakah (giving) we invite you to do a mitzvah by participating in our annual food drive to benefit South Florida’s Jewish Community Services’ Kosher Food Bank. Please give any non-perishable items. We suggest donating as much food as you and/or your family would have eaten on Yom Kippur.
TO PARTICIPATE IS AS EASY AS 1-2-3!
1 Grab a brown grocery bag as you exit Rosh HaShanah services.
2 Fill that bag (or any other shopping bag) with non-perishable food items.
3 Bring your filled bag to the collection in the lobby of the TBAM Sanctuary between Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur.
KOSHER AND NON-KOSHER ITEMS ARE ACCEPTED.
THESE ITEMS ARE ESPECIALLY NEEDED
▪ Oil ▪ Mayo
▪ Pasta ▪ Gefilte Fish
▪ Canned Veggies ▪ Grape Juice
▪ Honey ▪ Tuna
▪ Cereal ▪ Detergent
▪ Dish Soap ▪ Paper Towels ▪ Spray Cleaner
When we do kindness on earth, we awaken loving-kindness above (Zohar)
