First Grade Consecration
The Temple Beth Am community will celebrate the beginning of the Religious School and Rambam Day School formal Jewish education with their Consecration during Kabbalat Shabbat services. This beautiful ceremony marks a significant stage in the formation of your child’s identity and involvement in Jewish life.
Consecration is marked with blessings, songs, and celebrations. It is a moving ceremony in which 1st-grade students will be called to the bimah for the first time and will receive a symbolic Torah scroll.
Prior to services, the consecration class is invited to enjoy a sit-down Shabbat dinner. The consecration students will be the guests of the congregation. Please click on the link to RSVP for dinner.
Plan to stay after services to celebrate Simchat Torah with a Sweet oneg!
