It’s called The Adult Reading Room – but it’s much more than just a space for reading.

With all due modesty, we can confidently say that this is one of the largest synagogue-based libraries in Florida.

The collection features thousands of books, meticulously organized using the Elazar Classification System, specifically designed for Judaica libraries. Our library spans a wide range of topics, including biblical studies, Halachah and Midrash, Talmud, Jewish genealogy, history, geography, Israel and Zionism, biography, and much more.

We also offer hundreds of DVDs, including a variety of Israeli films.

In addition to our physical collection, the library offers a dedicated website that includes an online catalog of all materials, searchable references, and access to our digital archive. In the Reading Room, visitors can view a unique collection of archival video recordings and lifetime testimonies, a powerful and moving experience that connects the past to the present.

While it serves as a rich research hub, this library has also hosted lectures, presentations, and exhibits related to Jewish heritage for over three decades. We are proud to be a co-producer with the Jewish Genealogical Society of Greater Miami, which contributes to our collection and actively leads events and discussion groups on family history.

To maintain and grow this invaluable resource, we need your involvement.

We’re looking to expand our team of volunteers. Opportunities include:

    • Library Resource Management – Assisting with cataloging, organizing, and maintaining the collection
    • Digital Support – Helping with our catalog and digital archive
    • Marketing – Promoting our programs and events to the community
    • Hospitality – Assisting with events, lectures, and guest services

We look forward to seeing you! Come check us out!
