...to support the JCS Kosher Food Bank
and its High Holy Day Food Drive
“We are worth what we are willing to share with others.” —Rabbi Jonathan Sacks
During this unprecedented time, the Jewish Community Services of South Florida Kosher Food Bank needs our help more than ever. Loss of employment has led to an increase in food insecurity in our community. Please do your part to help.
We hope everyone have advantage of this mitzvah by donating food — you'll also hear the shofar and prepare for Tashlich. Everyone will receive a special gift, including apples and honey bears, courtesy of PATIO! And you can pick up your 5781 Book of Remembrance too.

Drop off food bags at Temple Beth Am campus
Please place your bagged, new and unopened groceries in your trunk and drive to Temple Beth Am's porte cochere, the covered driveway in front of the sanctuary doors. We will open your trunk and transfer the bags from your car. Our volunteers will be wearing masks and practice social distancing. Please do not leave your car. There will be no entry allowed to any buildings on the Beth Am campus.
Join us in making the holiday season sweeter for over 500 families, 225 children and 75 Holocaust survivors.
All unopened, shelf-stable grocery items are welcome!
The JCS Kosher Food Bank greatly relies on everyone’s participation. To help combat hunger in our community — one meal, one person at a time — you can make a difference.
Please fill any shopping bag with the following requested items. All grocery items must include one of the printed Kosher symbols (pictured at the right):
• Gefilte fish
• Canned tuna/salmon/sardines
• Dry healthy cereal/oatmeal
• Pasta sauce
• Laundry detergent
• Paper towels
• Dishwashing liquid
• Antibacterial spray cleaner
The JCS Kosher Food Bank is the only food bank in Miami-Dade County to which those who observe kosher (kashrut) dietary laws can turn. JCS’ Kosher Food Bank provides food to more than 400 families and nearly 100 Holocaust survivors.
