SUMMARY:Israeli Film: A Yiddish World Remembered
DESCRIPTION:A Yiddish World Remembered, a film by Andrew Goldberg\n\n\nA Yiddish World Remembered, is a 2002 Emmy-award-winning documentary by Andrew Goldberg that looks back at the vanished Jewish way of life that existed in eastern Europe before World War II. Through never-before-seen archival films, vintage photographs, traditional cantorial and Klezmer music, and personal recollections, the once-vibrant cities and small towns (shtetls) come alive again. Narrated by Elliot Gould, the film explores everything from the fascinating language of Yiddish to the style of dress and more.\n\n\n\nA Yiddish World Remembered\n\n\n\nRSVP to Etta Gold at egold@tbam.org ( mailto:egold@tbam.org ). Adult Reading Room Library events are coordinated by Etta Gold MLS RJE, Congregational Librarian.\n
