We are partnering with the Village of Pinecrest to
Donate Goods for Emergency Relief in the Bahamas

The Talmud (Berakhot 54a) discusses what blessings we should say during storms, including those of intense wind, rain, lightning and destruction. They tell us, "Even for bad tidings, one recites a special blessing."

While we may be saying silent prayers of thanks that our community has not suffered the effects of Hurricane Dorian, our hearts are broken for the people of the Bahamas. There has been loss of life and terrible destruction already. They need our help.

In this moment, let's not ask which blessing to say, but rather let's BE a blessing.
Please join Temple Beth Am as we partner with the
Village of Pinecrest to donate goods for emergency relief.

Baruch Atah Ado-noi Elo-hei-nu Melech haolam, shekocho ugevurato malei olam.
Translation: Blessed are You, Adonai our God, ruler of the universe,
whose power and might fill the world.
