Start the New Year with a Mitzvah
All donations go to the Jewish Community Services (JCS) Kosher Food Bank to help feed those who are hungry in our Jewish community.
The JCS Kosher Food Bank is the only food bank in Miami-Dade County to which those who observe kosher (kashrut) dietary laws can turn. JCS’ Kosher Food Bank provides food to more than 380 families and nearly 100 Holocaust survivors.
Kosher Food Bank recipients are able to select from non-perishable staples and canned goods, fresh produce, meat and frozen items. They ‘shop’ during pre-arranged, scheduled appointments to ensure privacy and confidentiality. Kosher Food bank supplies critically important food items and other daily necessities, as well as evaluates clients’ overall needs and arranges for appropriate support services. Because dignity is of the utmost concern, private one-on-one appointments are scheduled at convenient times.
The JCS Kosher Food Bank greatly relies on everyone’s participation. To help combat hunger in our community — one meal, one person at a time — you can make a difference.
Please fill any bag with the following requested items. All packages must be listed with one of the acceptable Kosher symbols pictured at right:
