This program is based on the emerging practice of Integrative Medicine, which puts the patient at the center and addresses the full range of physical, emotional, mental, social, spiritual and environmental influences that affect a person's health. This approach employs a personalized strategy that considers the patient's unique conditions, needs and circumstances. It uses the most appropriate interventions from an array of scientific disciplines to heal illness and disease, and help people regain and maintain optimum health.

Join us to learn more about Integrative Medicine and how to achieve optimal health from leading physicians at the University of Miami.

All three sessions are open to both men and women.

Cost for any of the three sessions is $10 per person (includes a light, healthy dinner).

E. Robert Schwartz, M.D., Chairman of the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, will present on the importance of Sleep, guiding us on how to fall asleep and stay asleep so we can have a good night's rest!

Join Drs. Isaac & Ora Prilleltensky, two acclaimed scholars, as they discuss the six essential elements of happiness using humor and science.

Put on a happy face, and together let’s experience an enjoyable and entertaining evening!


Isaac Prilleltensky, Ph.D. is the former dean of the School of Education and Human Development at the University of Miami, where he currently serves as Vice Provost for Institutional Culture. He also holds the Erwin and Barbara Mautner Chair in Community Well-Being, and is professor of educational and psychological studies. He is a prolific author, having puplished eight books and over 130 scholarly papers, and has received many awards in the field of psychology, including the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Prevention Section of the Division of Counseling Psychology of APA. Isaac was born in Argentina and has lived and worked in Israel, Canada, Australia and the United States.

Ora Prilleltensky, Ed.D. obtained her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from OISE at the University of Toronto. She is the former director of the major in Human and Social Development at the University of Miami, where she has taught various graduate and undergraduate courses. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including a child guidance clinic, university counseling center and rehabilitation hospital. She also has served on Miami-Dade County’s Commission on Disability Issues.
