As Editor-In-Chief of Israel’s largest English-language newspaper, Yaakov Katz has a pulse on events both inside and outside of Israel.

Yaakov’s expertise includes politics, policy, defense and international relations. He previously served for almost a decade as The Jerusalem Post’s military reporter and defense analyst. Yaakov was the Socol Speaker in February 2017 when he introduced his book, “The Weapon Wizards: How Israel Became A High-Tech Military Superpower.”

Originally from Chicago, Yaakov earned a law degree from Bar-Ilan University, and is a faculty member and journalism lecturer at Harvard University’s Extension School. He lives in Jerusalem with his wife and four children.
