Join us for this special Shabbat celebrating
the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Social justice is a cornerstone of Reform Judaism, and for this MLK Day we invite you to join us for a meaningful evening to reflect on the legacy of Dr. King as we look to a future guided by his principles of social action.
We are honored to welcome back the St. Peters Missionary Baptist Church Choir for a special Shabbat honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Under the direction of Cantor Rachelle Nelson and Jodi Orshan, the Souled Out choir will join in this uplifting service with song and prayer. Cantor Nelson has composed a special song in memory of Dr. King to be sung by both choirs, and Reverend Robert J. Brooks will give an inspiring sermon.
After services, we will gather together
for a delicious dinner program
Dinner at $36 per person. Children under 18 are FREE
Join your Temple Beth Am family and our brothers and sisters from St. Peters Missionary Baptist Church for Shabbat dinner immediately following an incredible Shabbat service honoring the legacy of Dr. King and featuring Rev. Brooks and his St. Peters choir. We will enjoy a delicious dinner of classic American cuisine as we celebrate the diverse Jewish communities of America. Take this opportunity at the end of your week to restore, replenish, reflect, and rejoice with us.
