For many, the COVID-19 pandemic has generated difficult feelings, such as fear, anger, anxiety and guilt. When faced with anxiety-provoking situations, many find solace in connection. But due to social distancing, we are being asked to refrain from the very thing that often provides healing — connecting with others. Isolation can be detrimental in times of high stress, but physical distancing does not have to mean lack of social connection.
This FREE wellness group offers a nonjudgmental, supportive place to navigate the feelings and challenges generated during these uncertain times. Meetings are open to any adults who want to join with others in the community to share and process their experience. We cannot avoid adversity, and even with feelings of insurmountable distress, we can learn and grow from it.
** Virtual groups are not a substitute for therapy. They should NOT be used as a substitute for seeking professional care for the diagnosis and treatment of any mental/psychiatric disorders. Our information is designed to be used for peer support and should be used in conjunction with professional care.
