Jewish Customs of Courtship, Dowry and Marriage
The Jewish Genealogical Society of Greater Miami brings us special guest speaker Douglas Kaplan to share his research into our matrimonial traditions and practices.
This presentation comes to us in conjunction with our Temple’s extraordinary photo exhibit of diverse ceremonies brought to us by Beit Hatfutsot, the Museum of the Jewish Diaspora in Tel Aviv.
Kaplan is the author of several articles in national publications on the laws of Agency, and a former member of the Board of the United Way of Broward County. He and his late wife Marzi (z”l) have both served as Directors of WPBT Channel 2 Public Television.
