On January 21, 2011, at a special Pioneer Members Shabbat, Temple Beth Am honored our founding Rabbi Herbert Baumgard with a celebration of his 90th birthday.

A beautiful Oneg followed the Shabbat service, at which time a video tribute was shown in the Social Hall, celebrating the many years enjoyed by Rabbi Herbert Baumgard, his wife Selma and their children at Temple Beth Am.

Our thanks to Barbara Lash Cohen and Marlene Kohn, who served as Co-Chairs of the event, with help from Committee members Lori Baumgard, Wendy Baumgard, Shira Garvett, Linda Glass, Molle Grad, Michelle Sarason, Bev Sharp and Rita Swichkow.
