Temple Beth Am

Here's what's happening with your
Beth Am Tikkun Olam Committee...

Year-Round Food Drive

In the spirit of tzedakah, the Tikkun Olam Committee coordinates a year-round Food Drive. We collect non-perishable, kosher canned food items for the Kosher Community Food Bank.

There will be a collection bin for your donations located in the Beth Am administration building’s reception area. All of your donations will be delivered by members of the Tikkun Olam Committee.

Your donations will directly benefit individuals and families in need throughout Miami-Dade County. The Kosher Food Bank has approximately 200 clients including families, holocaust survivors and the elderly whose food needs are supplemented through the support of our community through
Jewish Community Services of South Florida.

Tikkun Olam Project Guide: A Social Action Resource

The 2009-2010 Tikkun Olam Project Guide: A Social Action Resource is available for download.

This is a great resource offering paths and volunteer opportunities in the South Florida community for you and your family to help “repair the world.”

Take some time to look through this guide.  It may just inspire you to join a new project or start your own.
