   Admission Policies & Procedures

Temple Beth Am Day School uses an informal screening program for students new to the school who are enrolling in the Early Childhood Program. This screening includes a parent and child visit and play time with the Early Childhood Director. Children who are enrolled in the Toddler Time program may also be observed during class time by the Early Childhood Director. The school maintains a more formal screening and assessment process for students new to Temple Beth Am Day School who are applying to the Elementary School. As part of this formal admissions process, students with completed applications to Kindergarten participate in a developmental screening. Students applying to 1st through 5th grades must submit a current transcript, letter of recommendation and testing, and are interviewed by the Head of School or the Elementary School Coordinator. Admissions decisions are made based on a child's readiness and ability to be successful in the Temple Beth Am Day School program. Download Elementary School FAQs
