Admission Policies & Procedures
Temple Beth Am Day School uses an informal screening program for students new to the school who are enrolling in the Early Childhood Program. This screening includes a parent and child visit and play time with the Early Childhood Director. Children who are enrolled in the Toddler Time program may also be observed during class time by the Early Childhood Director. The school maintains a more formal screening and assessment process for students new to Temple Beth Am Day School who are applying to the Elementary School. As part of this formal admissions process, students with completed applications to Kindergarten participate in a developmental screening. Students applying to 1st through 5th grades must submit a current transcript, letter of recommendation and testing, and are interviewed by the Head of School or the Elementary School Coordinator. Financial Assistance
Temple Beth Am Day School offers financial assistance based on family need. All applications are confidential. We work with FACTS, a third-party assessor, to determine the amount of assistance granted. Please apply for financial assistance online at factstuitionaid.com.
The deadline for filing an application for tuition assistance is January 31, 2013.
Financial assistance awards are for one year only. Families must reapply each year. Financial assistance will be considered only after:
The application is available in the Admissions Office upon request and all the information provided is strictly confidential. Financial assistance applications received or completed afterJanuary 31st will not be reviewed until all timely applications have been considered. Late financial assistance will only be granted if budgeted funds are still available.
