Social Action – Help Repair The World

The Tikkun Olam Committee is the Social Action arm of the congregation. We are guided by the Jewish principle of Tikkun Olam or “to repair the world.” Tikkun Olam is a wonderful opportunity for parents to teach their children the meaning of tzedakah… for older children to fulfill their community service obligation… for all Beth Am members to get involved.

Unbiased

Undoing the Bias through Education

At Temple Beth Am, we have been discussing a need to better understand our neighbors. We recognize the necessity of talking with our neighbors, to learn about their lives and beliefs as we hope to share more about ours. We have launched an initiative called unBIASed, focusing on all kinds of misunderstandings that we have about each other including antisemitism, racism, anti-LGBTQ+, and more.
